Morven RossBain was born and raised on Arran. She attended Whiting Bay Primary and Arran High School and left the island 16 years ago to work for Argyll and Bute Council as a day centre officer working with people with learning disabilities. She then went on to train as a registered mental health nurse at the University of York.
Since graduating, Morven has gone on to be a staff nurse in a child and adolescent mental health unit, and a staff nurse in a forensic hospital.
Morven returned to Arran to take up a post in nursing in Cooriedoon and has also spent nearly four years working with the Arran Community and Voluntary Service, where she became involved in the health and social care partnership.
