Got a problem? DR RANJ SINGH and WAYNE DHESI are here to offer their advice…
I recently became engaged and Paul and I are getting married next summer after 10 years together.
We’re both really close to each other’s immediate families, and obviously want them to be there on our special day — apart from Paul’s sister and her boyfriend, who have been openly homophobic in front of us in the past. Paul says we have to invite them and has tried to reassure me that they won’t cause any trouble, but knowing their views, I don’t want them there. Should I just accept his decision?

→ WAYNE: Congratulations on your engagement. Wedding planning is never a stress-free process, so having this added pressure must be causing you sleepless nights. A wedding day brings together people who may never have met before and it’s likely that for one reason or another, there’ll be guests whom at least one of the happy couple doesn’t like.
