Special effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen inspired generations of filmmakers, from Tim Burton to George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. His creativity is highlighted in a new exhibition, with his famous model skeleton army from Jason and the Argonauts (1963) and Bubo the Owl, a mechanical bird sent from the gods in Clash of the Titans (1981), on display. As well as observing these fantastic creatures up close and seeing his initial sketches, visitors can fight the bronze giant Talos and the deadly Harpies on a green screen.
