While the 2021 offseason has not been what anyone might call normal, it’s at least possible to see things moving that way after a tumultuous 2020. Nothing is more normal in the NFL than everything being about the quarterback, as things certainly have been so far this offseason.
Drew Brees, Philip Rivers and Alex Smith retired. Matthew Stafford, Carson Wentz, Jared Goff and Sam Darnold were traded. Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson expressed dissatisfaction with their current teams in their own unique ways. The San Francisco 49ers still have Jimmy Garoppolo at the time of publication, but no one would be surprised if that changes. By the time we get to September, we could legitimately see 15 teams with different starters at quarterback.
