In view of all that is happening in the world today, especially in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is good to be reminded that God is still on the throne. The Book of Nahum is not the most-read part of the Bible, it has to be said, but our centre-spread chart this month gives an overview of that book and, in an article from Malcolm Davis, the first chapter of Nahum is explored. The clear message concerns the sovereignty of God in His dealings with the nations of men, and there are clear parallels to be drawn with events today.
