CAMPBELTOWN Cat Rescue (CCR), which runs ‘on a shoestring’, tasted the cream and raised £1,276 at its annual fundraiser.
Bric-a-brac, baking and bottle stalls helped the charity to its total. Other attractions included a raffle, Danny Hughes’ guess the birthday of a cuddly toy and a guess the weight of a cake baked and iced by Muneroy Tearoom’s Frances Hill. CCR switched venues from Victoria hall to the refurbished town hall and a spokesperson said the organisation was pleased with the change of location for last Saturday’s event.
Emily McLean, 14, who manages Campbeltown Cat Rescue’s Facebook page and fosters kittens, ran a guess the number of sweets in the jar competition at the fundraiser.
