CARRADALE’S community first responders are being trained to save lives.
First responders are community volunteers who, when contacted by the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS), provide potentially life-saving first aid in emergency situations, in the time before an ambulance arrives.
Eight Carradale volunteers recently passed four days of first responder training with SAS, and each month they will undergo ongoing training at the village fire station.
