Police responding to an incident at a Campbeltown property arrested a man carrying a knife.
Last thursday at Campbeltown sheriff Court, James Deavy, 29, was sentenced for the oThence and ordered to stay in his home, monitored by an electronic tag, from 7pm to 5am for eight months, fined £500 and told to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work. Deavy, of 7 Glenside, Campbeltown, appeared on indictment on December 13 and pleaded guilty to having the knife, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, on April 23 last year.
