THREE pianists performed in Skipness village hall last Sunday afternoon and during their three-hour concert they raised more than £830 for the Meniere’s Society charity, which helps people with dizziness Jim Walker, left, and Derek Reid. and balance disorders. In a special concert afternoon, Derek Reid, Gordon Hunter and Jim Walker played a wide variety of music on electric piano keyboards under the heading of ‘From Bach to Boogie’, and included classical, rock, blues and jazz styles.
Around 75 people attended the concert at various times in the afternoon, which ended with a set of pieces for accordion and piano.
