A MAJOR emergency response was triggered in the Loch Fyne-side village of Tarbert after Royal Mail staff were affected by suspected chemical inhalation.
Six staff members are understood to have suffered breathing problems at around 8.30am as mail arrived in Tarbert from Lochgilphead on Tuesday morning (August 22).
The cause of the contamination in the building was under investigation as police set up roadblocks around Tarbert Royal Mail sorting office and fire crews from Lochgilphead, Campbeltown and Bishopbriggs joined the Tarbert unit in response to the incident.
