When you take over a magazine, writing the Editor’s letter can be a bit of a challenge. It’s a bit like walking into a room at a party, not knowing anyone and hoping that you won’t be stuck in the kitchen for the entire evening. So what do you do? You try to find some common ground. We’ve got a head start here – we love caravanning and we can talk about that!

My own adventures in caravanning have been very colourful. Have you ever actually been caravanning and never had an incident? An argument over an awning? Got stuck down a lane? I’ve done all of those things. The caravanners I have met like to tell stories, love to laugh and want to encourage others to get into caravanning. Why? Because it’s great fun. And, when it all goes perfectly, there's a pleasing sense of achievement.

As we grow up, it’s easy to forget the meaning of fun, but we shouldn’t! You’ve got a caravan and you can be on holiday every weekend if you so desire. You can wake up to a different view, with new neighbours as often as you’d like.

Whether you’ve towed from Tenby to Tenerife, Aberdeen to Adelaide or just picked up your first caravan and are heading out on your maiden voyage, I hope you will find plenty in this issue to inspire you.
