Nowadays, if you’re a small team with a big idea – particularly in the UK – it has become easier than ever to find backing from a growing collection of publishers focusing on indie games, like Team17, Devolver Digital, Curve Digital, 505 Games and Sold Out. UK industry bodies like Tiga and Ukie have also chipped in – the former helping to secure tax-breaks for games developers on a par with those offered to UK film-makers.
