Spandau weren’t known only for their era-defining electropop and smooth soul – they were veritable clothes horses, whose garb veered heroically from pirate chic to kilts, designer suits to S&M leathers, frilly John Galliano shirts to scarves pilfered from their mums’ wardrobes.
“Oh, there’s loads of outfits where you look back and think, ‘What was I wearing?’ laughs Tony Hadley. “But, at the time, we were the young dandies, we were the young peacocks.”
