Talking of puns, following a pathetic Star Wars one in the title here, things then backfire yet further as it emerges that this might not be that much of a news story anyway. UA have announced a new interface in the form of the Solo, the cheapest and smallest interface in their Apollo range. However, eagle-eyed viewers might note that it bears a resemblance to the company’s Arrow. And like Arrow, Solo is a Thunderbolt 3 interface for Mac and PC, and comes with dual Unison mic preamps, realtime UAD processing and plugins. However, unlike Arrow, Apollo Solo is also available in a handy USB 3 option for PC (via a USB-C connector) with external PSU. The price is expected to be around £399.
