With the warmer weather kind of with us it’s time for a lot of filmmakers to get out there and start shooting projects that have been months in the planning. If you’re going to be filming on location then the weather can be a critical ingredient for deciding whether or not things go to plan. So this issue is timely as we’ve got a whole rash of location features, which highlight just what sort of challenges are faced by filmmakers who need to get out in the field to make their movies. Similarly, having the right equipment is crucial too, so we thought we’d use the kit section of issue 68 to have a quick look back over some of our own highlights so far this year. It’s been a busy few months with lots of great gear emerging, so if you’re not a regular reader you might appreciate the recap on what’s hot. Aside from that, we’ve got the usual newsy bits and your questions get answered by our panel of experts over the course of our Ask the Filmmaker pages. All in all then it’s a packed issue, so please do enjoy it.
