THE YOUNG Canadian grew up in a small town in northern BC. “It was clear early on that I was the black sheep,” says Owen.
At 18 he decided to spread his wings (“and my legs,”he jokes) and become a professional dancer. “I packed my bags and moved to Vancouver. I dreamed of having a professional dance career and becoming a model, so I worked hard to make my dreams a reality. “For the first time in my life I was free to explore and express myself in ways I wasn’t able to before. But I quickly got side-tracked by my “self-exploration” and fell in with the wrong crowd. I was lost. It became clear that I was wasting my potential. I decided my ‘hot mess’ lifestyle wasn’t cutting it. Time for a serious make-over.”
Owen heard about The Whole Package competition and recognized it would a great opportunity to complete his transformational make-over phase.
