DNA: During the coronavirus crisis with people spending more time at home, many have taken the opportunity to work on their homes. Is all this a “crisis response” as people try to feel more comfortable?
Brendan Wong: Without the usual day-today distractions people are focussing their attention on their home environment. They may be responding to a latent “to do” list but I also think there’s a very natural nesting and cocooning response as we all process uncertainty and nervous energy. For those experiencing a reduced workload, putting that spare time to good use in your home also gives a great sense of achievement.
