He’s amped-up the sexy with poppier music and steamy videos…
For his fifth album, Mike Hadreas (aka Perfume Genius) has amped-up the sexy and muted the avant garde. It’s abundantly obvious, not just from the much poppier music, but also the visuals and particularly the steamy videos for the singles Describe and On The Floor. Mike intends Set My Heart On Fire Immediately to explore and subvert concepts of masculinity and traditional roles. “I wanted to feel more open, more free, and spiritually wild,” he shared with DNA, “and I’m in a place now where those feelings are very close, but it can border on being unhinged.
