The 1996 TV Movie starring Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor is to be released on Blu-ray by BBC Worldwide.
Sadly, The TV Movie has not been rebuilt by scanning the original 35mm film elements at higher resolution for this Blu-ray release, but instead it’s been scaled up from the standard-definition master copy.
Extras on the Blu-ray, all previously available on DVD, are included alongside the main feature. On Disc 1, these are as follows: two audio commentaries – one with director Geoffrey Sax, and one with Paul McGann and Sylvester McCoy; The Seven Year Hitch; The Doctor’s Strange Love; mini-episode The Night of the Doctor; a photo gallery; an isolated score; production subtitles; and four music tracks.
