The culmination of Norway and return to RM Condor brought the Sgts’ Mess back together again prior to some well-deserved Easter leave. However, there was still time to produce further dits for the consumption of the G&L readership.
In a galaxy far, far away, within the ranks of the 45 Commando Royal Marines, there existed a Mess Manager known simply as ‘Duncs’. Duncs was a seasoned veteran, with a no-nonsense attitude and a strict adherence to tradition within the Mess.
One day, a group of rebellious Mess members approached Duncs with a bold request they wished for a vending machine to be installed in the Mess accommodation. This request sent shockwaves through the ranks, as Duncs was known for his disdain towards modern conveniences that he believed detracted from the camaraderie and discipline of the Unit.
