“When I start working on an illustration like this, I prefer creating a 3D scene, usually in Unity, with a bunch of simple boxes and start messing around with the cameras and the lighting. When I see that something interesting might come out of it, I begin to sketch in Procreate. I start with raw buildings and continue to add more and more layers to fill the scene with life. For me, drawing these sort of pieces is like going on a journey. I don’t know where the end is. Every new layer of details opens up some new paths and I just choose which I want to explore further.”
