Room IX isanew permanent exhibition in Milan
The Natural History Museum of Milan has opened a new permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of human evolution. Room IX is the result of exhaustive scientific work by the museum’s conservators, and includes zoological finds, fossilised remains, genetic evidence and more, with multimedia installations and illuminating timelines on the process of human evolution. Conceived as an immersive environment, the impressive new exhibitionition was designed by Italian studio Migliore+Servetto, and takes in around six millionlion years of history along the way. The museum has a varied collection of inestimable scientific value, covering wide-ranging displays; in addition to the newly opened room on human evolution, visitors can enjoy exhibitions dedicated to dinosaurs, minerals, vertebrates and invertebrates. www.museodistorianaturalemilano.it
