THE Betfred Women’s Super League will now return to action on Sunday, August 8, after the clubs decided to bring forward its scheduled mid-season break.
Five fixtures - Wigan v Wakefield, Warrington v Featherstone, York Huddersfield, Castleford v Bradford and Leeds v St Helens - were due to take place over the course of the weekend, but it was unanimously agreed to cancel them all and allow squads an immediate ‘circuit-break’ from the challenges presented by positive Covid-19 tests, self-isolations and injuries.
