I knew that I was in for a treat as soon as I received the invite to attend Bobby Abley’s AW16 show at the London Collection: Men. The postcard sized invite, featuring the iconic green and yellow Brazilian flag, was a clear sign of an event to look forward to in a cold British winter. And I wasn’t wrong.
Abley, a talented designer who debuted at the very first edition of the LCM, back in 2012, brought to the catwalk the fun outfits that became his trademark signature for the past years, all wrapped in a warm and colourful Carnival vibe. The Disney references were all there, from a giant Donald Duck on the front of a sweatshirt to a cut-out Mickey Mouse outfit – including a nice red short to go with it.
