As severe drought ravages 2.1 million people in Kenya, churches in the East African nation are in the frontline offering interventions.
On September 8, President Uhuru Kenyatta declared the drought a national disaster, after findings indicated that 10 out of the country’s 47 counties were seriously affected. Some of the counties are recovering from a recent locust disaster.
