New NTFS driver
NTFS 3 kernel driver gets better compression features.
Last year Paragon Software made the surprise yet welcome move to mainline its read-write NTFS driver into the Linux kernel, replacing the FUSE-based ntfs-3g driver. This brought improved support for the NTFS file system (which is used by Windows), and since then Paragon has been doing a commendable job of improving the driver with a series of updates. The latest v14 patch brings better compression support, based on XPRESS and LZX code, along with WIMLIB code, and is now much more fully-featured, offering per-file and drive-level compression support.
