The HDR Hackfest, which was organised by Red Hat, concluded on 26th April. The stated goals were to plan the next one to two years’ work on HDR (High Dynamic Range) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) display technology. The Hackfest also aimed to improve KMS and Wayland APIs to better accommodate user space needs for HDR.
