Where should I use case-sensitive APFS volumes?
> The only place you’re required to use casesensitive volumes is for Time Machine backup storage, probably for compatibility with iOS and iPadOS, which use case-sensitive APFS. Copying case-sensitive to case-insensitive could lead to data loss. Case sensitivity isn’t needed for any other purpose.
