MacBook Air
» From £1,099
» Apple’s lighter notebook was upgraded to Apple silicon M5 in March 2026. The notebook boasts a silent, fanless design, a six-speaker sound system (the 13in has four speakers) and Spatial Audio. The 13in M5 features a 10-core CPU, with either an 8-or 10-core GPU. The M5 significantly boosts image and video performance, and benefits from an improved 153GB/ sec memory bandwidth. Both M5 MacBook Air models come with 16GB of memory, configurable to 32GB; note, though, that you need the 10-core GPU model with 512GB of SSD storage to increase the amount of the memory on the 13in model, and storage can be configured up to 4TB (again, you’ll need the extra GPU core on the 13-inch to do this).
The 15in MacBook Air is the thinnest 15in notebook available – 40% thinner than comparable PC laptops; it’s just 11.5mm thin and weighs 1.51kg. The 13in Air is 11.3mm thin and weighs 1.23kg.
The thinnest notebook on the market now comes supercharged with an M5 chip.
The Liquid Retina display of the 15in has a resolution of 2880x1864 pixels, while the 13in has 2560x1664; both support up to one billion colours.
Both models boast a 12MP Center Stage camera, with 1080p recording. You get MagSafe 3, two Thunderbolt/ USB 4 ports, a headphone jack, Bluetooth 6, and Wi-Fi 7 support. You also get up to 18 hours of battery life when viewing video or 15 when web surfing. Available in Sky Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and Silver colour options. Prices for the 13in start at £1.099, while the 15in starts at £1,299.
