It’s frustrating when we can’t connect to older gear, but there are usually plenty of apps that’ll try to help.
I would like to take issue with “Can’t operate your scanner” (tip 14) in your “Fast Fixes” feature (ML208). I have a CanoScan 3200F. Image Capture doesn’t recognize this scanner; it doesn’t find the scanner. It is USB–based and so should be identified according to your article, but it doesn’t… So it would appear that the fix is obviously dependent on more than just Image Capture!
