WHAT A WAY to release a game. Spread across five years, two retail models (an initial episodic structure was abandoned in favor of the usual game/DLC model), multiple digital storefronts (Hitman 3 is a timed Epic exclusive), four continents, and who knows how many murders, we’ve finally reached the end of the road for the World ofAssassinationtrilogy.
And what a way to finish. Hitman 3 arrives just as the new consoles are getting settled in, and brings graphical improvements over the previous games with IO’s new Glacier engine. If you own the previous two games, the levels will be ported into the new engine, turning it into one huge game with a load of remastered content and six new locations to murderously explore, with the promise of more DLC to come. Buy all three at once, and it’ll keep you busy for the rest of the year.
