With a Kickstarter campaign set to launch in July or August and a projected delivery in time for Halloween, RJF Image/Design uncovers their third set of Drive-in Double Feature artists cards. As with their previous sets, Drive-in Double Feature Series 3 will present artist’s interpretations of two classic drive-in theater horror classics. This time around it’s The Satanic Rites of Dracula and Horror Express. This is a true labor of love for Richard Fowlkes, who owns RFJ Image/Design and works with many other indie trading card producers. The Satanic Rites of Dracula is a 1973 Hammer Horror classic starring Christopher Lee as Dracula and Peter Cushing as Van Helsing. You don’t get much better than this.
Horror Express also starred Lee and Cushing, along with Telly Savalas, and was produced in 1972 in Spain. This movie follows the passengers of The Trans-Siberian Railway as they are stalked by a recently unfrozen alien caveman. It’s a much better film than that description might lead you to believe.
