WORK has started to widen the carriageway on Criche Bridge, west of Glenfinnan, on the Road to the Isles.
So far five bridges have been renewed on the A830 in a £10m programme to improve one of Scotland’s most scenic routes.
Work began on Criche Bridge, at Arieniskill, on Monday. It is being carried out by BEAR Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland. A temporary bridge will be installed as a diversion, with temporary traffic lights and a 30mph speed limit in place.
