A DRUNK Claggan man who tried to force his way into a couple’s house in Fort William after mistaking it for a property where he thought a party was being held, was fined £270 at the town’s sheriff court last week.
Steven Pearson, of Carn Dearg, 30, pleaded guilty that on February 27 this year, at a house in Orkney Place, he had behaved in a threatening or abusive manner, had attempted to open the door of a house and had shouted and swore.
Procurator Fiscal Martina Eastwood told the court that, on the night of the offence, the couple who occupied the house had heard their dog barking when someone started tried to open the door.
