THE volunteer crew of the Tober mory Lifeboat were sharply awakened on Saturday February 3 as their pagers sounded shortly before 2.30am.
A fishing vessel with three crew members onboard was experiencing mechanical difficulties off the coast of Coll, four nautical miles south of Arinagour, and the Tobermory lifeboat was requested to assist.
The crew reached the fishing vessel around 3.30am and a tow was established for the journey back to Tobermory. The return was straightforward on a dark morning with pleasant weather and flat seas.
