THE Highlands and Islands were well represented in the FilmG national Gaelic short film competition with several entrants from the region making the shortlists across a range of categories.
Lochaber High School pupil Claire Frances MacNeil is shortlisted for Best Young Filmmaker for her documentary Bodach Na Beinne. Sgoil Lionacleit and Plockton High School are among the shortlisted schools in the youth category. Callum Mac-Millan from the Benbecula school is nominated for best actor for his role in Gearrach an Stiùiriche.
Stornoway’s Nicolson Institue is shortlisted in three categories: best film, Film G’s Gaelic award for Stri na Dileab, and Catriona Bain for best actor/actress.
