OBAN Hospice is taking inspiration from Maggie’s Centres for its planned new drop-in service.
Board members for the Oban charity visited the Maggie’s at Glasgow’s Gartnavel hospital and, at their AGM on Monday, chairman David Entwistle said they would like the hospice centre to be a similarly ‘bright, colourful, optimistic place offering practical, emotional and spiritual care’.
Mr Entwistle told the meeting that, having a net income of just over £9,000 this year, the hospice group feels it is in a good position to start renting a building.
