EUROPEAN REFERENDUM REACTION FROM ACROSS WEST HIGHLANDS
‘SHOCK’ and ‘disappointment’ are words used by some highlanders to describe their reaction to the referendum vote which could see the UK leave the European Union.
According to the Highland Council, the total number of ballot papers counted was 125,728. The total number of votes cast in favour to remain a member of the European Union was 70,308, while the total number of votes cast in favour of ‘leave’ was 55,349.
