MEMBERS of the Appin branch of the Scottish Women’s Institute (SWI) met in Port Appin Hall on Thursday April 20 for their annual general meeting and SWI centenary birthday party.
After business was completed, the party started with the cutting of the birthday cake, the candles having been blown out by Honorary President Chrissie MacNeill. Everyone then enjoyed a lovely tea, provided by the committee.
President Doreen Evans thanked Morag MacKenzie and Lorna Wallace for being tellers for the evening and Chrissie Malone for always having the hall ready for meetings.
