I’M a minister and I generally start the week with various intentions. I want to visit certain people, I want to work on something I’m planning, I hope to drop in here or there but first I have appointments in my diary and need to prepare for school assemblies, meetings, Sunday and so on.
As a result, many good intentions are postponed to the following week and the cycle continues. I’m sure lots of us can recognise this pattern.
In their song, Time, Pink Floyd sing: ‘Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time, plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines’ until, ‘The time is gone, the song is over thought I’d something more to say’.
