Karen “bimbling” in the water
Like almost every swimmer I know, I have surplus swimming hats. One or two I actually purchased, some have been gits, but many have been given to me at events and swim competitions. Only a handful I would like to keep for nostalgic reasons or because they are comfortable, but what to do with the rest? hey still function as a swim hat and throwing them in the bin means they will end up in landill. While some hats are made of material that could be recycled, only specialist recycling plants can take them. here are a couple of charities that occasionally collect hats for teaching swimming in areas of poverty, but otherwise the only option is the bin.
