This month we're celebrating our 20th anniversary! To mark the occasion, we’ve dived head first into the substantial PBMW archive to take you on a trip through the evolution of the modified BMW scene, choosing some of the best cars we’ve ever featured from the past 20 years. These are some of the best modded BMs of all-time and some of the most powerful, outrageous and downright astonishing builds we’ve ever seen. We’ve also included our first-ever cover feature in all its glory for you to enjoy and there are a bunch of other special birthday features in this issue as well.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an issue of PBMW without a selection of some of the finest modded BMs about and this month we have a stunning E24 and E28 duo on the front cover. Not only is this a gorgeous pair of machines, they’ve both been treated to M60 V8-swaps, which makes them both seriously special. We’ve also got a spectacular, stripped-out M52-swapped E30 four-door and a hardcore, supercharged E36 318iS. Plus, we’ve also squeezed in a 515whp F80 M3 and a 700hp wide-body X6 M and, with an eye on the future, 3D Design’s spaceship-like i8.
