MAGICAL HOUR Pros prefer shooting during the blue and golden hours; here the HDR technique helps to correctly expose the scene

Capturing the intricate details of a high-contrast scene with one exposure can be a daunting challenge, as you’re bound to overexpose bright areas or underexpose dark ones. Here, we can use the HDR technique, which involves shooting multiple frames with different exposure stops; these can then be merged incamera, or in software, to capture detail from bright highlights to deep shadows.
To ensure a smooth editing process you’ll ideally need to shoot using a tripod, although to simplify the shooting process and save time in editing, incamera functions enable the shooting of the exposures handheld, with the images merged automatically.
