As they return with their second album, Stygian Wavz, on March 14 via Kscope, Envy Of None bassist Andy Curran has credited a process of evolution that has seen the supergroup – which also features Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, singer Maiah Wayne and guitarist and keyboardist Alfio Annibalini – move from being a remotely-based project to working in the studio together through to entertaining ideas of actually playing live. In fact, he says they could now be called a band. “You can use the b-word,” laughs Curran from his base in Toronto.
