David Lammy seeks to answer these questions in his new book Tribes, part memoir, part call-toarms. Lammy, the first black Briton to study at Harvard and Labour MP for Tottenham since 2000, has become one of parliament’s most vocal and effective campaigners on issues such as the Grenfell fire.
