BEATTIE IS BACK IN BODMIN:

LSWR 2-4- 0WT No. 30587 returned to its former Cornish stamping ground on December 7 after a three-year loan was agreed between the National Railway Museum and the Bodmin Railway. The out of ticket 149-yearold loco will be displayed at Bodmin General’s platform 2 on selected days, and be housed undercover in the running shed the rest of the time (RM October 2023). The railway’s appeal to cover the transport cost remains open – see the website at https://bodminrailway.co.uk for details of how to donate. WILL DINGLE/BR
