Okay, so this may seem far-fetched, but what if, in the year 2020, a pandemic swept the globe –a highly infectious virus that attacks the lungs?
How would we cope?
This scenario was dreamed up by Oana Aristede in 2017, for a book she finished and sold in 2019. As she admits in the afterword, she was startled by what unfolded between signing the contract and the publication date, and wondered if anyone would even want to read it. And yes, it would be a tough read at the best of times but it’s especially difficult right now.
