Jordan Hall is a photographer from Birmingham, who spent some time getting to know vegans from her local area. “I like to talk about topics within my work that are important to me, for example past projects have included things concerning sexual assault awareness and climate change. I was really inspired to use my work to discuss the question, ‘What do vegans look like?’ There’s such a strong and prevalent stereotype of vegans, and I wanted to highlight the diversity and individuality within our community; there is no such thing as ‘one type of vegan’. My aim was to create a space for people in my local community to share their stories and who they are as people. Anyone can be vegan — there is no checklist of characteristics or personality traits you have to follow, nothing you need to do or need to be in order to follow this lifestyle, just the desire to make a change.
