Taking 21 minutes off her time at Abingdon Marathon in October 2017, six months after running her first marathon at Brighton, posting a PB time of 4hrs 18mins 27secs
Daphne Marion, 61, started running in her fifties, as a way of warding off osteoporosis, which afflicted both her mother and grandmother. With her youngest daughter Rose, she entered the 2012 Cardiff Half Marathon and was thrilled to run the whole distance. After completing the race the following year in a slower time, she decided to join her local club, Royal Wootton Bassett Hounds…
