There’s a Facebook group about writing, books and publishing that I admin called Sophie’s Place On-Line, and as an experiment on the day the clocks went back I attempted to break time, or at least subvert the law of cause and effect, with a post about timeslip novels, writes Gary Dalkin.
I wrote my post and scheduled it to be published at 1.59am on the morning of Sunday 30 October. My expectation was that the post would go live, then a minute later the clocks would go back, and anyone unfortunate enough to be awake and puttering about on Facebook might see it and comment as much as 59 minutes before it was published. Well, the idea amused me, if no one else.
